Roofing Update – 03/03/21

THIS EMAIL COMMUNICATION IS BEING SENT TO THE MEMBERSHIP ON BEHALF OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS.

Dear Homeowners,

As you may have noticed, Western Pacific Roofing is on-site completing high priority re-roofing projects. Following these projects, they are expected to commence their annual routine maintenance on all roofs (weather permitting), which includes inspection for any minor damages.

After consultation with roof experts, we would like to remind everyone that slight ponding of water on roofs is normal and expected, particularly after rainstorms. Rain gutters are installed on most units for additional drainage of excess water. However, the sun will evaporate ponding water over a few days.

Thus, we ask that owners do not access their roofs or perform any maintenance of their own, as this is the responsibility of the Association. First, we would regret seeing an accident and second, any damage caused by the owner would be their responsibility to assume and correct. Liability is far too risky. If you have observed any roof leaks or issues with your roof after the maintenance is completed, please contact Desert Management to report your work request.

Your cooperation and patience while we complete this imperative work is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Best Regards,
